Every now and again I get nostalgic for 1950s movies/musicals with Hollywood stars like Bing Crosby, Carey Grant, Fred Astaire, Betty Hutton, Frank Sinatra, Gene Kelly and Donald O'Conner.
Here's a clip featuring two of that list, Bing Crosby and Frank Sinatra, in the 1956 film "High Society".
It counts if you've seen "Mary Poppins". Two Julie Andrews don't equal a Bing Crosby, (and in fact, nothing equals Julie Andrews because she is just that awesome) but it would be enough to make your not having seen White Christmas excusable. ;) LOL
I love Bing Crosby in White Christmas.
ReplyDeleteI think my fav of him is "Holiday Inn". That or "Bells of St. Mary's" :)
ReplyDeleteI'm embarrassed to admit that I don't think I've ever seen a Bing Crosby movie.
ReplyDeleteBut I've watched The Sound of Music about 40 times. Does that count? :)

ReplyDeleteSpooky or what - I was just thinking about this song! I think they should bring some of these classic musicals back to the stage!
