This orchestration has been fueling my imagination for some Steam-punk plans. I can't divulge anything else about the project just now, but suffice it to say, listening to this makes it easier for Lucy Jane to design things with leather, gears, and clockwork mechanics! Enjoy.
I love Paul Shapera's music. I'm not thrilled with the plot/vocals for the Steampunk Opera itself, but I think that's mostly because I don't have a lot of time to devote to understanding the story and characters. Opera is not something you can use as background music while working and full understand/appreciate it. But this melody has a beautiful rhythm that merits it being on heavy rotation in my playlist at the studio!
Chris- I dipped a toe in last year, looking at some photos from Dragon Con. This year, a lot of related things have transpired to make me wade in much deeper! There is some money to be made in the genre for The Other Me, provided I can get myself in (wait for it) gear. XD (I TOLD you there would be more puns coming on TMP!) lol

ReplyDeleteI dig the whole steam punk thing. Admittedly I am not "into it" by any means, but I have seen some things about it here and there, and like the look.
